Giving this Season...

I don't know about you out there in blogistan, but...in our house, Christmas is a time of giving, and our favorite charity is Love Without Boundaries. Love Without Boundaries has just started their 2006 Holiday Fundraiser and I encourage all of my readers to donate.

I think this says it all, taken from their FAQ's regarding how much money actually gets sent to the Orphans in China:

Our overhead in 2005 was just 1.7%. Everyone on the LWB team is a volunteer and none of the board members or directors of LWB take a salary . We also require our volunteers to pay their own travel expenses. We have no rent or utilities, and do not hire professional fundraisers. We make a conscious effort every day to get every penny possible to the children in need. We know our donors have placed their trust in us, and we want to be good stewards of their funds, which are given with such hope and love for the orphans in China.

On top of that, they produce the Love's Journey book and soon Love's Journey II in which a journal entry of mine from China and a picture (or two) of Ryleigh will be in!!!

Go GIVE, it feels so GOOD!

Edited to add: Elizabeth asks when the next book is coming out, and I think the answer is around Mothers Day 2007.
