Roller Skating

A good friend of ours invited us to meet them for Roller Skating today. Our local rink has been here FOREVER, with the same family running it. Austin was VERY apprehensive about going, because he doesn't like to fall doing things, and his last memory of anything like it was ice skating about 2 years ago.

We bribed him with a little Coldstone afterwards and off we went.

We had a BLAST. The place looked exactly the same, the people were the same, the cost was higher, but that's ok! Austin went back and forth many times in the practice area, and made his way out to the "big rink" for the hokey pokey and to play a muscial chairs like skating game. He did great.

Ryleigh skated, too. She was AMAZING! Oh my gosh, she is a natural! I think I might sign her up for lessons at some point. Besides being the tiniest one out there, she was doing great....

Here's a video of our little daredevil on 8 wheels. I'm sorry it's sideways, the videographer (me) forgot that I had to hold the camera the "right" way....haha

WOW. I loved seing new pictures. They both look like natural skaters.
I look forward to going and watching her take lessons.

And tell Austin I am very proud of him to get out that and do the Hokey Pokey that is hard. We went there all the time while groing up.

Thanks for the post.

Love you guys Julie

Check her out!!! Love the wheels, babe :0) No fear.

Austin...what a man! Of course, you could probably bribe me from Ohio with promises of Coldstone ;0)

Happy Birthday Ryleigh! I so wish we could get our kids together before they grow up with them being the same age. To bad we live so very far away. How fun to watch them roller skate. I don't see Ana doing that quite yet, but she would probably surprise me. She is so smart!!
