Alive and well....

Wow, we've been so busy, and I haven't blogged in forever. I'm still reading everyone's diligently, though, even if I'm not posting comments as much as I used to!!!

Well, let's see. Ryleigh is all better. She has a heck of a scar on her upper thigh from the infection/surgery and the pediatrician says that we won't know for sure what it will look like long term until 1 year has passed. It is also high up on her thigh, where no one should ever see it... right??? She is still saying "All bebber" everytime we take off her diaper. She was traumatized, that's for sure!!

We went to the Oakland Zoo last Saturday, and LOVED it. If you are in the bay area, it is MUCH better then the San Francisco zoo. MUCH BETTER!!!

They have a wonderful petting zoo, and children's zoo. They have AMAZING bats!!!

Then...today was opening day for Little League, and Austin is on the Mets. This is his first year playing and we are very excited (maybe a little more excited then Austin is....). We had a fun day, but boy did it get hot here today, it was 80 at noon. I was dying. Austin is doing great learning the fundamentals of teeball, and good sportsmanship!

Also today my mom helped me sew this quilt top for a silent auction fundraiser at Austin's school. We took handprints of all his classmates and then sewed them into this quilt. The pressure is on, though, because last year the 1st grade quilt sold for $22,000 (yes thousands).

Oh, and P/S we signed up to go to the Northern California FCC campout, so if you are in our area, and want to join the party, you probably already know where to look!!

Austin looks awesome in his baseball uniform! How cool. And so glad Ryleigh is all bebber. What a horribly traumatic thing for all of you.

Big hugs,

I am always dissapointed with the SF zoo. I am going to try the Oakland zoo. That quilt is awsome, but I couldn't pay that for it!!

I haven't commented in forever (sorry) but I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy to see how well your daughter is doing after her trip to the ER a while back. Poor thing. I know from WAY too much experience what the inside of an ER is like with a child and it isn't a lot of fun, that's for sure!
