The Harsh Reality...

We've been asked some why we are adopting from China....well, the harsh reality of it is that only 2% of the children abandoned in China are ever adopted....by anyone...

Orphanage

The picture was taken this week by a family who is in another bloggers travel group in China. Any one of those babies in the picture could be our little Ryleigh.

Do you notice anything about the picture that doesn't quite seem right? Yes, that's right....the babies are sleeping on wood! Babies are not supposed to sleep on wood....they are supposed to sleep bundled in their mother's arms.

This picture breaks my heart....and I hope it makes everyone else think about international adoption and know that it is so do-able!

If you are lurking and are interested in China Adoption please email me, or check out C.C.A.I's (our agency's) website....please.

I had seen a show on Oprah once about the children and babies in China. They strap them to wooden chairs too with their pants pulled down over potties.....they are in those chairs all day long sometimes! Their legs are tied down to the chairs! I just could not believe it. Such a sad thing.....and this picture makes it even sadder. There are so many horrific things like that going on in the world. You would hope more people would try to do more...even if it is just praying.
