To Infinity and Beyond

Also known as Austin is coming back from the Dark Side.

Austin really wants to be Darth Vader for Halloween. We purchased a costume, it was so dark and black and so well, evil. It didn't fit him so we had to take it back, and I haven't been able to find the right size yet. You would think, because I don't want him to really be from the Dark Side, and would prefer he be Buzz Lightyear, like last year, and a good guy, I wouldn't even bother looking. I have been all over the place, Target, Walmart and still not the right size.

Today he announced that even though he really wants to be Darth, he will be Buzz if we cannot find the costume. Now I feel guilty for not wanting him to be Darth in the first place, BUT at least I looked for the costume!

He looks so cute in the Buzz costume, I wouldn't look for the dark side one either.

Awwwww, he's a dang cool looking Buzz Lightyear. And that's one of my favorite movies too.

I'd say you did your due diligence - even went to Walmart! (the one near us is frightening)

Try the Halloween store, on Washington Street (old Beverlys)...doesn't Grandma sew??? Anyway, we all prefer Buzz anyway...I had one at my house one year (the year after he was Woody of course!) I will send the cutest pic of Aaron as woody when he was 3 (he is 12 now and will totally kill me!) But that is what I live for..to embarrass my children.

The Buzz costume looks good, so maybe you don't have to shop TOO hard? My daughter wants to be Darth Vader and she's got her costume all ready. Always the bad guy. My other daughter wants to be Luke Skywalker. What's with the cross dressing? Doesn't anyone want to be a princess anymore? Oh, yeah, its the light sabers!rpo

He has to be Buzz. You can't look that adorable in the Buzz costume and not be Buzz.

Definitely Buzz... Come on... Disney vs. Darth??? I don't think so! Unfortunately boys don't always see things Mom's way though.. do they? My son was all about the "bad guys" when he was younger... he thought that one guy from Star Wars Episode 1 ... the one with all the red/black designs all over his face with the horns was awesome!! YUCK! He grew out of that... thank goodness!!
