Sewing again, finally....

Well, we've been home over a month, and I was starting to feel like I would never get my sewing machine out, but, I had a quilt in the cupboard that needed it's binding put on, so yesterday I pulled it out and got to work. It felt good, even though I only had the machine out for 30 minutes or so, to be sewing.

I purchased some fabric squares on Ebay to work on a "Boy" quilt for Austin, and I'm involved in a ABC swap on the One Hundred Wishes Quilt board, so that should keep me busy for a while. I also had purchased a Serger from Craig's List, and hope to make some doll clothes with it, or even some little things for Ryleigh, we'll see.....first I have to get the hang of threading the thing (4 spools of thread, two needles).

Here's a picture of the quilt I finished yesterday. It is made up of different Asian fabrics that I swapped with folks back in September of 2005!

I am SO IMPRESSED!
Great job!
I am suddenly remembering that I never gave you my fabric for Ryleigh's quilt...and it is so cute too!
I will get it to you for her scrapbook at least!
I have to "catch up" on my life! I feel so behind~

I was thinking...you should take a picture of the kids with each quilt you make so you can remember how little/big they were when you completed it.
(You will be even more amazed that you got so much done, even while they were babes!)
Keep up the good work!
I am proud of you!

I'm in awe of you! I guess we find time for the things that are important to us. as much as I'd like to even remember where the heck my sewing machine is, that probably means I won't see it until our kids are in 3rd grade!

Same with the half finished crochet project.

(I'm so bad!)
