Austin...

Austin is thriving in Kindergarten, he loves his teacher, and is doing very well socially. He is having a little issue with "Kindergarten Art". He is rushing his way through coloring projects, and not taking his time with them. This is kind of funny to me because we, as adults, know that either you are artistic or not. Well, I guess in Kindergarten this is very important.

Austin doesn't have homework, but after talking to the teacher, she suggested some coloring pages, and such to get him to concentrate on the work at hand and do a good job. We're working on it. The other funny thing is, the last thing you want the teacher to do is talk to you about your child negatively, and when it happens you feel that it is completely your fault, no matter what it is!!! I'm working on that, too!

Soccer is going great, the kids look like pro's out there! Austin is having fun bounding around the field and isnt' picking nearly as many flowers as I thought he would! He and a friend got into a tickle fight in the middle of the game yesterday, though, and ended up getting a stern talking to.

Wow, it's amazing how fast they grow...he looks so much bigger than some of the pictures even a short time ago!

A tickle fight in the middle of the game? Ok, that's really funny! I love it. Go Austin! You're only a kid once - don't miss out on a single tickle fight. In fact, next time (after the game) go tickle your mom! :-)

I'm glad he likes kindergarten- makes it easier to drop them off! the tickle fight during the soccer game is a first I'm sure! Jr. Spaceman once ripped off his shirt and ran through the sprinklers during a game! kids have their priorities straight (live in the moment!!!!!)

My kids never played soccer. Don't know why, they just didn't.

I remember the first time I played soccer, it was in Middle School!

I remember just running up and down the field, hoping and praying that the ball wouldn't come to me!
(Kind of the same thing I did with all of the sports we had to do in PE!- except swimming, I loved swimming!)

I would love to see one of his games...let me know his schedule!
