I wonder how many times a person can check the mail. I know intellectually that the mail is only put out once a day, but still, I feel compelled to go to the post office 2 or even 3 times a day....Sometimes I go twice and my mom goes once......ahhhhh the obsession.
I find myself each day thinking "today is the lucky day, today the envelope with the 171 will be here".
I've even made up scenario's for the Immigration Office, for instance: The Orphan Officer only works on Thursdays and we'll get the form on a Friday or Saturday. (this is based on the fact that I got our fingerprint appointment paperwork on a Friday, and the other two people I know received theirs on a Saturday), too coincidental.
On a funny/happy note: Austins snail picture is the home page picture on the March/April 2005 DTC (Dossier to China) Yahoo board. It is funny to see his little face when you log on.....
Even as I'm typing this, I'm thinking "Why am I typing this, I will be posting tomorrow that the 171 has arrived!"
Ahhhh, the mind and the tricks it plays on us!
