We've sent all of our paperwork to CCAI for Critical Review. It seems like it's been forever since we started the "Paper Chase" but it's really only been 2 months. We're waiting for the I171 to arrive from the San Jose United States Citizen and Immigration Service. The wait for this one simple paper, that gives us the permission to bring an "orphan" to the United States is unbearable. Each day, at least 2 of us check the post office.
As soon as the I171 arrives, I will drive both the I171 and our Homestudy to the Secretary of States office in San Francisco and then right down the road to the San Francisco Chinese Consulate. All of our other documents (9) I mailed around......these are just too important to trust to the ol' US Postal Service.
