OK, I called our agency yesterday, gotta love that 24 hour return call
policy.
My question for them was if the agency sends families to China through the Christmas Holiday, and if they were estimating our travel then based on our LID.
They called back this morning and said that (our LID is 4/22) we should receive a Late October referral (I told her I was thinking around November 1st) and she said
probably late October (again, made me feel good). She said we would most likely be travelling over the Christmas holidays. I asked her if the October holiday/trade fairs push us back, and she said it's really the people that are getting their matches in the next couple days it affects, then the next group a little less, then our group even less then that, and then Chinese New Year screws it all up again.
She also said they didn't receive the matches today, but probably tomorrow and they would call people hopefully Friday, and everyone should receive their FedEx on Saturday!
So, I'm off to come up with a Christmas Plan for Austin since he is staying home with my mom! The bad part of this is that he won't be in pre-school everyday because of Christmas break and my mom will be wiped out.
If anyone has any ideas for some alternative Christmas celebration, let me know!

Stacey, I would definately have "Christmas" with Austin before you leave and bring home that new sister!
Have a tree, santa sighting, presents under the tree EVERYTHING!
That way, there is not any disappointment on the 25th (It will be just another day for him...he's 4) your mom and Austin can plan to go to the movies that day (a ton of families do that anyway!)
When you go, don't forget to leave a big calendar so he can cross off the days until you come home...and leave him small gifts to open once in a while..big brother gifts, not christmas.
I think that it will be a big transition when you get home, so waiting for the celebration wouldn't be a good thing...just my thoughts...Kim
