A fun week and a birthday....

Today is my birthday, I'm 41. It's been a great life so far!!!! Lots more to come, I'm sure! This week Ryleigh has attended her preschool class and loved it. They are working on safari animals, and there are some really cute art projects that are coming home. Austin is finishing up his year at Kindergarten with Friday being his last day. What a big guy.

Last night we had a party at our house for a bunch of our friends, and it was so much fun. I have no idea why we never do this, but it is so fun when we do!! The food was most excellent, and the company was even better!!! I didn't tell anyone it was my birthday, and only a few people knew and were sworn to secrecy, just the way I like it! We had a Texas Hold 'em poker tournament which was really a lot of fun. A fire outside kept everyone toasty. Note to self: plan another get together really soon!!

The kids all climbed the wall....I turned away, so I wouldn't see anyone fall the 6 feet. Thanfully, none of them did.

What else did we do this week? Oh, we did a little treasure hunting as a family. We have started doing a new hobby called "geocaching". It is basically a treasure hunt with a handheld GPS unit. Believe it or not, people, there are cache's (pronounced cash) everywhere. I made my first find on a hidden trail not too far from my home, and now we are all hooked. It's great to go out and hike and look (except when you look for over an hour and don't find anything like we did yesterday morning).

All in all, a great week. We're leaving for a 4 night camping trip on Friday, can't wait....
