Raggy Weekend

Wow, yesterday was BUSY!!! First thing in the morning, a local neighborhood garage sale that we go to every 3 months....didn't find much, some books for the kids to put in their already overflowing book shelves!

Then Ryleigh had her first birthday party to attend at the paint-your-own pottery place. She had fun, and I think will be artistic as she grows up.

At the same time 15 miles away, Austin was playing his last tee-ball game of the season. Then they had their end of the season party at a local swanky golf course. It was really fun.... (did I mention that Ryleigh and I raced from the birthday party to the baseball party?). The baseball party was supposed to include swimming, but Mark had to work, and it was pretty cold so we came home.

Austin with his Coach

Today we woke up to blue skies, the first time in 10 days or so. The kids scooted around on the scooters for an hour or so, then off to Costco.

This afternoon I made my first rag quilt. I think it turned out pretty cute. I swapped all the squares from people on one of my quilt boards. Basically it is like collecting for your 100 Good Wishes quilt, only more specialty swaps. Very fun!!
After you sew together the rag quilt comes the hard part, you have to snip all the edges. You then wash it (I took it to the laundry mat so they could be on the receiving end of all the little lint and strings) and it frays the edges, and makes it very cute, warm and raggedy.

Now, a question. Do any of you have this??? It's a Tassimo coffee maker. Currently I have Senseo, but my neighbor is selling their never used Tassimo and I'm not sure if I want it, so I'm testing it out. Opinions anyone???

What a beautiful day in Carmel yesterday ...

I think you're right about the Spelling Bee kid! Very strange affect for somebody who just won a national championship. I was thinking post-traumatic stress, but RainManism is probably more accurate.

Cute? I'd say he's HOT!!! darn I knew I was missing out by not going to all of Austin's games. I guess was so into the game and fairness that I missed the hottie....LOL

I also love the quilt and would like to request that you hold a class for us so that we too can have such a beautiful cuddly quilt.

You are just too much. You do so many projects AND still put the kids first. You are like super woman. And I'm not joking you amaze me Stacey.

Love ya Julie

Man, you're a busy Mama. But you still have time to stitch a great quilt together. Don't know how you do it. :)
