Tomorrrow is Yuriko's 20th birthday and we are trying to make it a nice one for her. It must be very hard to be away from your mother and father and brother on a special day.
We went to Benihana's for a Japanese dinner that is cooked in front of you.
After dinner, the waitress brought out a balloon had and drummers drummed and we sang the Happy Birthday song to Yuriko. I think she was embarrassed, but went along with it!

Sounds like an awesome birthday party - you guys are so sweet! When I was young (cough cough many years ago) my family used to take me to Benihana's every year for my birthday. It was the best!
Hi,
My name is Susanna and I am almost fifteen years old. My family is waiting for the referral of an infant from Ethiopia (my blog is http://bigsisdiaries.blogspot.com) I stumbled across your blog and I just had to say that your little girl is so cute!!
That does look like fun! I love the hat! My family hosted foreign exchange students when I was growing up, and I have very fond memories of them. What a great thing to do for someone.
We are back and can enjoy blogging again. You had quite a birthday celebration and as m3 said we used to go to Benihana's on her birthday. Thanks for following us across America.
