Potluck and Kimono's

Yuriko's school threw together a potluck dinner for Monday night to show the students what an "American" potluck was all about. The strange thing was that we were only told to bring salad.....hmmmmm. Anyways, a great time was had by all. My family agreed that our chicken, rice, curry salad was the best.

There are twenty-four students here from Japan. The girls all wore their kimono's. The boys in the group got off easy, dressing, like any other day. Yuriko was lovely in her kimono!!

Ryleigh wore one of her Chinese dresses, and was very cute with the big girls.

When we got home we talked Austin into putting on his Chinese pajama's for a little picture. He obliged!

After we had eaten one of the students (with the guitar) sang for us. He is in a band in Osaka and Yuriko had heard of it. It was great!!! Everyone was having a great time!!!!

We are having so much fun with Yuriko living with us, and we will miss her when she leaves!

That looks like a fun time!!!

Ryleigh is adorable in those pictures - I can't help grinning when I look at them. Too cute! And Austin looks very cool in his silk outfit. He's a good sport and deserves some chocolate (tell him I said that).

Ok, for starters Ryleigh gets cuter in every picture. You have got me thinking about hosting a foreign exchange student, maybe next summer. Looks like you're having a blast.
