Strawberry Festival????

Today we went to Watsonville for the annual Strawberry Festival. I have to admit that usually we do not go to these festivals (Gilroy Festival, Artichoke Festival, etc), even though we live in the "Salad Bowl" of the United States. I think today told me why we don't go.

There was 2 or 3 booths set up for Strawberry items...the rest was different booths with no real rhyme or reason to "Strawberries". The only band they had playing was a Latin band in Spanish. It was really strange. Not a good introduction to festivals for Yuriko.

Austin and Ryleigh rode on a few rides, and had fun. Austin especially liked the little roller coaster and the fun house. Ryleigh really only rode on the little train.

Afterwards we went to lunch in Moss Landing at a wonderful little restaurant!

We all agreed that lunch was better then the festival. In honor of Strawberries, Yuriko and my mom had strawberry crepes!

Strawberry Crepes remind me of Paris!! Ah...back when we could save money for a trip!! :) Ah...the old days!!

Too bad the festival had nothing really to do with Strawberries!! Why don't they call it "Well there might be Strawberries" festival?
