Berry Picking and a Rainbow

Austin went with Mark to a farm on Friday and went Berry Picking. They had a great time, especially in the petting zoo area. Do you see a common theme? Austin loves animals, any of them. Right now he is very into frogs and lizards, but still loves any others.

Today was Mother's Day. Mark and Austin let me sleep in and then baked a coffee cake for me and my mom. They gave me an adorable ladybug charm for my charm bracelet. Ladybugs are a sign of good luck in Chinese Adoptions, I don't know why they are, they just are. There are even book's about the relationship of the ladybug to the "red thread" and Chinese Adoptions.

We had a great day.

Later, after Mark went to work, there was a beautiful rainbow to the East of our house....we don't see many rainbows near our house, Austin loved it, so we took some pictures.

Sounds like a great Mother's Day! Wish I'd had some of those berries... We didn't have a rainbow up in the north bay, but we did take advantage of the storm to do a little hottubbing in the rain. It was fun!
