Stress level: Suprisingly calm, although somewhat sweaty!
We are down to the wire, we have 2 hours until we leave for the Provincial Civil Affairs Office to receive Ryleigh.
We had a meeting this morning that lasted about an hour, I was teary during introductions, and at a couple times during the meeting! Everyone is so excited and the energy is wonderful!!
I'm sending a couple pictures from the meeting. The picture with the bunch of bags is the guides, Kathy and Jason preparing to give us the formula and rice cereal that Ryleigh eats.
When we returned to the room, Coming Home Barbie, a regular barbie holding an asian (sort of looking) baby was waiting in our room. Adoptive families that stay at the White Swan are gifted with this special Barbie from Mattel. Barbie, unfortunately does not look a thing like me, but is wearing some pretty nifty wedge sandals!
After the meeting we walked to the store (about 3 blocks) to purchase snacks, drinks, and more formula and cereal.
HINT: Do not purchase formula and bring it here when you are adopting. The formula is what they are used to, and it is VERY inexpensive!
Next post, I'll let Ryleigh type a little bit!
